I was once a huge boxing fan. I still watch from time to time, but for the most part I find boxing boring. It's not the sport, it's the fighters, most fight like Tim Sylvia, protecting the victory instead of like hungry UFC fighters, going for the win. Perhaps it's the big paydays or the promoters or managers...but
The fight between Barrera and Marquez on the weekend was spectacular. Both fighters gave it 100%, a really good fight. I don't want to say more, just in case you do want to watch the fight yourself. If you have a chance to watch a replay of it (or find it on YouTube), watch it. One of the best boxing matches I've seen since Mickey Ward vs Arturo Gatti.
